Stephen Ministry is a worldwide program that is a one-to-one caring ministry that uses lay trained persons to provide distinctively Christ-centered care to people who are experiencing all kinds of life needs. Our ministry team has been doing this for over twenty two years!
Who are the Stephen Ministers?
Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation that have been trained to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times.
Who might be a Stephen Minister care receiver?
Care receivers are people in our congregation and others in the community. They are people struggling through a difficult time in life. They may be experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or some other life crisis.
What to expect from a Stephen Minister.
A one-to-one relationship between the Stephen Minister and care receiver.
The relationship is confidential.
Men are matched with men; women with women.
When a care receiver’s needs exceed what a Stephen Minister can provide, the Stephen Ministry team makes a referral to an appropriate mental health professional or other community resource.
